To be eligible for an Emergency Appointment, one of the following conditions must apply to you:
- The death, severe illness, or life-threatening accident of your parent, sibling, or child.
- You require urgent medical treatment for yourself or your child.
- Urgent business commitments that precede the available visa appointment date.
- Please be aware that meeting any of the above criteria is necessary to qualify for an emergency appointment at the US embassy.

- Proof of relative’s death, funeral arrangements, or a letter from the attending physician or hospital.

- Your expired visa was issued to you over 14 years old
- Your visa expired or is expiring between 2019-2024
- Your visa was issued for full validity(10 years)
- You were never denied renewal for this visa before
- 80 and over will get a waiver if they never applied for a Visa before
